: 02 June 2003 : So. I’m living in London now, not in Edinburgh, having been suddenly offered an admin job at a magazine publishing company. I answer the phones, hand out the post, do people’s photocopying. It’s a good job, especially compared to what I was doing before, and I get exposed to the reality of life in the meeja. If anyone needs a bit of research done it often gets slung my way, too, so I’m doing something that’s stretching my skillz a bit. There’s a crappy article on Kenneth Branagh in the next issue of Theatregoer with my name on it. I’m living with my uncle in a flat on the fifteenth floor with the most amazing view – it faces south so I can see all the buildings by the Thames, St Paul’s, Tate Modern, the London Eye, Battersea Power Station… locationamundo. Flat’s dead central too, between Islington and Clerkenwell and Finsbury, so most of central London is within walking distance. I miss Edinburgh, though. Don’t know if I’ll be going back in the immediate future, though the girl’s graduation ball is up there in July. In other news: those of you that haven’t heard/bought “I Luv U” by Dizzee Rascal are surely missing out.
